Ordering & turnaround

How quickly will I get a quote?

We reply to every quote request within 2 business days. Your quote includes pricing for the product and quantity you asked about, plus next steps. If you need an answer sooner, or you're working against a close event date, call us at (248) 738-7225 and we'll help right away.

How long does production take?

Production time varies by product and is listed on each product page. The clock starts once your order and artwork are final, and shipping time is extra. Plan your in-hands date with both in mind. If your date is close, call us at (248) 738-7225 before you order, and we'll tell you what's possible.

Do you offer rush orders?

Call for rush orders. (248) 738-7225. Rush availability depends on the product, the quantity and our production schedule at the time, so it's best to talk it through with us by phone. Have your product, quantity, artwork and in-hands date ready when you call so we can check quickly.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, but order changes must be confirmed in writing; we can't take responsibility for verbal changes. If you cancel, we bill for all work completed up to that point, with a $20.00 minimum once the order has been entered into our system. Email info@printwand.com as soon as possible.

Can you ship to my venue?

Include your venue's delivery address and your in-hands date in your quote request, and we'll confirm shipping options and timing in your quote. It helps to check whether your venue accepts deliveries, who will sign for them and what days they receive packages, especially on weekends.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free UPS Ground shipping on qualifying orders. It applies to residential or business addresses in the continental U.S., but not P.O. boxes. Weekend delivery isn't available, orders must be under one pallet and ship to one location, and it can't be combined with other offers.

Imprint methods

What is embossing?

Embossing presses your design into paper from behind, so it stands up as a raised impression you can see and feel. It usually uses no ink, which gives it a subtle, tone-on-tone look. Embossed napkins are a popular choice for weddings and formal dinners because they feel refined without adding color.

What is debossing?

Debossing is the opposite of embossing. Your design is pressed down into the surface, so it sits below the material as a recessed impression. It's often used on thicker materials like coasters and leather. Like embossing, it can be done without ink for a clean, understated look that guests notice by touch.

What is foil stamping?

Foil stamping uses heat and pressure to press a thin layer of metallic or colored foil onto paper. The result is a shiny, slightly raised design, often in gold, silver or rose gold. It's popular for wedding names and monograms because it catches the light and looks more formal than ink.

What is hot stamping?

Hot stamping is another name for foil stamping. A heated metal die presses foil onto the material, transferring the foil only where the design is. The term is common in the printing industry, while foil stamping is more common in weddings and stationery. Both describe the same shiny, metallic result.

What's the difference between foil stamping and embossing?

Foil stamping presses a metallic or colored foil onto the napkin, adding shine and color. Embossing raises your design into the paper itself, with no ink or foil, for a subtle texture. Choose foil when you want your names to stand out, and embossing when you want something quiet and elegant.
